Oman Health Exhibition 2026 Puts Medical Tourism in Focus
The Oman Health Exhibition & Conference 2026 was held on 21–23 September at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. Organised by CONNECT, the event aims to connect local patients with world-class healthcare expertise. Its programme included a session on international experience in health tourism.
The conference discussed medical tourism, while the exhibition showcased healthcare innovations and offered free health consultations. On the sidelines, Majid Zangooei, Secretary-General of the HTD Centre, told the Oman Observer that Oman has strong medical tourism potential. He said all stakeholders in health and wellness tourism should cooperate, and noted that wellness is a big part of medical tourism. Redha bin Juma al Saleh, a board director at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Oman could become a distinct health tourism destination by combining treatment with the country’s culture, business and travel experiences.
The Ministry of Health took part through its Directorate-General of Private Health Establishments. Oman’s national health strategy names the expansion of medical tourism as one of its goals.
